What is completestreetsadvocate.org all about ?

This space is to inspire others in the area to use multi modal transportation.  We love bicycles and all other forms of transportation, but key is a good transportation diet.  It is important to advocate for complete streets in rural America as we need it just as much as urban areas.  Look here for no limits reporting with few rules, and lots of variety.  Reader comments are very welcome here, please interact to share your thoughts.

This is a hub of  web content for inspiration for our local area to explore future balanced transportation expansion.   We are Arcata based so you may see more reports on this town more often as far as infrastructure improvement ideas, but I’ll do my best to mix up the bag.  If you would like to report, and publish here your ideas on other towns in Humboldt. Please feel free to contact me about submitting guest articles.

I appreciate you visiting me, here online.  I’d like to welcome you to this space, and feel free to contact me.  Have something you would like me to write about, looking for information, or perhaps you would like to chat about bikey stuff on a casual bicycle ride together (no lycra riding in this environment).  I’d love to hear from you !

Who am I ?

Chris Butner

I have volunteered time, and energy in the past to green-wheels.org

I am also a member of the League of American Bicyclists, and Rails to Trails Conservancy.

I have participated in complete streets workshops, and webinars.

I walk the streets, as well as use a bicycle daily for commuting.  Though I also own a car, but it does not get used very much.

I do this volunteerism out of passion to share ideas on us all having a better transportation diet, and sharing ideas on important transportation infrastructure topics.  Join me in a fun way to explore rural mobility needs, and ideas!
