Jan 20 2015 – KHUM radio, happy trails show – discusses upcoming phase 1 bay trail construction, for summer of 2015. Along with other non-motorized goodness discussions!
Oct 2014 – Humboldt County website now has a dedicated web page for the Humboldt Bay Trail.
Aug 2014 – The northern portion of the bay trail is now completely funded! Eureka also received funding for more of the waterfront trail project. To complete the southern portion of the bay trail, funding is still needed for construction(south portion of trail already has design, and permit funding).

May 2014 updates – The City of Arcata publishes a Humboldt Bay Trail overview video. 2014 Tiger grant application submitted (see project page).
March 2014 updates – 2 million dollars awarded for design and permitting of southern portion of trail. See news video coverage here
Sept 2013 updates – Tiger grant submitted by Arcata is not approved for funding north portion of bay trail. 2013 Tiger grant winners listed, here. A reminder how hard funding a bay trail will be moving forward.
Fall 2012 -The documents that were released fall 2012 during the rail with trail committee meetings – can be found hosted on the Humboldt County public works web site here. If you were not able to attend the focus meetings all the links listed here should be very informative for interested parties.events, and media articles –
